How do I get to the venue?

Car Parking: There are 2 car parks on the quay side.

St Peters Dock Car Park Ipswich IP1 1XG (Gravel car park takes card & cash)

This car park is on the end of the quay side. Simply walk towards and along the quay side and Isaacs is a short walk away.

Athena Hall Car Park, Ballast Wharf Walk, Ipswich (Gravel car park - cash only)

Walk from the car park towards the quay side and you'll find a cut through in the fence to walk through. Walk in the direction of and past the university along the quay side and you will see isaacs a little further along.

Train: From Ipswich Train Station the venue is a short taxi ride away (they can drop you outside the venue) or a 20min walk.

Frequently asked worries...

What will we be doing?

This will be a small, friendly meet up. Isaacs is a lovely chilled out venue. Hopefully it will be a nice day so we can sit in the beer garden. Bring some money with you for a drink (they take card and cash). It will be a small friendly group meet-up. No ice-breakers, no name labels, no men, no eating in front of strangers and definitely no awkward introductions.

What do I wear?

I (Gemma) will be wearing a flowery wrap around dress, denim jacket, sandals and big yellow accessories (obvs!). Dress in whatever makes you feel comfortable and lovely.

I don't want to walk in by myself

Please send a DM to the How to make friends Instagram page when you are near the venue. I will be meeting everyone outside personally and walking you into the venue, showing you around and introducing you to everyone.

What if I don't know what to say/ have no one to talk to?

I will have a few lovely ladies on the How to make friends team starting conversations, keeping everyone included in conversation and ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.

**

I just really want to emphasise that this really is a solo-attendance friendly event. It will be a small and like-minded group of women and a real positive and friendly experience. If you still have any concerns, questions or would like to chat with me first, kindly send an email to hello@howtomakefriends.co.uk

I would love to see you at the meet-up, kindly RSVP with your details below so that I know to expect you.
